Idaho Location FAQ

Other obligations notwithstanding, I am available to give training in Idaho on the Cascade Airport(U70), in the small town of Cascade, ID, typically from mid-June through early October.

How do I get to Cascade?
By Commercial Airline: Check for flights into Boise Airport, BOI.

By Car From BOI (about 1:45): Mapquest driving directions. Once out of Boise, you’ll be winding along the Payette River Scenic Byway.

By Car From McCall (40 minutes):Take Highway 55 South to Cascade. The airport is just South of the town of Cascade on the right hand side.

By Small Airplane: See the Pilot’s Guides for either Cascade Airport or McCall Airport.

If I fly in, where can I park my airplane?
Transient tie-downs are available on the east side of the runway just south of all of the hangars. If you prefer – and if space is available – I can look into hangaring your airplane elsewhere, subject to availability and price.

Are there local accommodations?
The Cascade & McCall areas are popular summer vacation spots and have many places from which to choose. Rich’s recommendations coming soon, but in the mean time, see the Cascade Chamber of Commerce and the McCall Chamber of Commerce.

Where do we meet?
Hangar #30. All of the hangars on the field are located on the east side of the runway (between the runway and the highway). Ours is in the northern-most complex of hangars, next to the flea market.
